AP₁ describes how the system behaves.
AP₁.1 clarifies why these behaviours are thermodynamically coherent,
reversible, and semantically stable.
For tint freedom, AAC rules, and residency semantics,
see AP₁.2.
AP₁.1 — Ambient OS Grammar & ΔR Extensions
Ambient Era Standard · February 2026 (Revised Seven-Field Edition)
AP₁.1 formalizes:
- AMG-1 — Ambient Meaning Grammar
- AURA-1 — Aura Emergence Rules
- ΔR — Reversible Stress Operators
- FPB-1 — Proximity Semantics
- Seven-Field Semantic System
- FCV-7 — Field Composition Grammar
- ALS-1 — Ambient Law of Scale
- PRT-1 — Phase-Relative Truth
- ET-40 — Extractivity Threshold
1. Normative References
- AP₀ — Ambient Architecture
- AP₁ — Ambient OS Structural Definition
- AP₁.2 — Color Semantics & AAC Expression
- ΔR — Reversible Stress Law
- PAI-1 — Post-Action Integrity
- ARS-1 — Action-Residue Specification
- W₀ — Warmth Stability Operator
- FPB-1 — Field Proximity Behaviour
- AURA-1 — Presence Continuity Operator
- SBL — Semantic Boundary Law
2. Universal Field Semantics
Red — Stillness · Being · Home Orange — Desire · Play · Creative Impulse Yellow — Intention · Action · Choice Pink — Relation · Contact · Interpersonal Presence Green — Health · Nature · Regulation Blue — Knowledge · Organisation · Thinking Purple — Infrastructure · Transit · Systems
Only Yellow supports directional navigation.
Pink is globally reachable from above.
ChronoSense is globally reachable from below.
Purple is reachable only via bottom-corner deviation.
3. FCV-7 — Field Composition Grammar
Entity = {
Red%,
Orange%,
Yellow%,
Pink%,
Green%,
Blue%,
Purple%
}
- Percentages normalize to 100%
- Dominant non-Gray field determines residency
4. AMG-1 — Ambient Meaning Grammar
| Op | Name | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| H | Hue | Field selection |
| S | Saturation | Relevance bloom |
| B | Brightness | Energetic clarity |
| M | Motion | Directional navigation (Yellow only) |
| R | Rhythm | Continuity · trust |
| P | Proximity | Residency transition |
| T | Texture | ΔR instability |
5. AURA-1 — Emergence Grammar
Aura emerges only when ΔR is stable, warmth ≥ W₀,
texture is low, and rhythm has converged.
6. ΔR — Five-Layer Reversibility
ChronoSense → Red → Orange → Yellow → Legacy
Red: fully reversible
Orange: reversible with minimal residue
Yellow: reversible only via PAI-1
Legacy: pinch-in only · reversible via exit
7. FPB-1 — Proximity Semantics
Bleed is reserved exclusively for route navigation in Yellow.
Environmental residency uses fade overwrite only.
8. Chromatic Weather Semantics
| Effect | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Warm Bloom | Meaning intensification |
| Cool Drift | Return toward ChronoSense |
| Shimmer | ΔR instability |
| Fade | Residency exit |
| Legacy Rise | Legacy influence detected |
9. PRT-1 — Phase-Relative Truth
Ambient OS does not enforce a single global truth.
Truth is phase-relative and field-correct.
Running activity: Yellow — motion and navigation truth Orange — experiential completion truth Green — physiological record truth
These truths do not conflict.
They are valid only within their active field and phase.
10. Application Eligibility & Field Stability
Applications are treated as semantic objects.
They may exist only in fields capable of sustaining stable truth.
- Cannot hold apps: ChronoSense, Aura, Red, Yellow
- May hold apps: Orange, Pink, Green, Blue, Purple
Field eligibility is determined by thermodynamic behaviour,
not by category or topic.
11. Gray Field & ET-40 — Extractivity Threshold
Gray is a containment field for incoherent or extractive systems.
If an application exhibits more than 40% extractive semantics
(drift loops, infinite scroll, ad saturation, algorithmic compulsion),
it is locked into Gray.
Gray is not a category.
Gray is containment for unstable truth.
12. Integration Requirements
- FCV-7 compliance
- ΔR enforcement
- AURA-1 continuity
- FPB-1 fidelity
- ALS-1 scaling
- PRT-1 coherence
- ET-40 enforcement
13. Status
AP₁.1 is normative.
AP₂ will introduce Civilization Field Grammar (F₁ → F₂ → Ω).
